Leah Christine Smith

I got into painting while in community college near Chicago. When the opportunity came to go to the University of Hawaii at Manoa, I couldn’t turn it down! I graduated with a BA in Art. During my last year there, my 3D canvases began to take shape.
(Pun intended!)
There was a lot of sweat, tears, and, honestly, a little blood that went into each piece as I kept going with a trial and error approach. (Less blood and tears as time went on, I'm happy to say!)
I was, and still am, hooked. I am totally and completely enthralled by this new topography that I've created under the canvas surface. There is a strange compulsion to touch and physically explore this new landscape of the canvas that I find fascinating. I hope you enjoy this new world as much as I do!

Guess what?!

I'm so excited!! I was interviewed for an awesome blog!
