Leah Christine Smith

Art has a wonderful ability to change how a room feels. It can almost dictate the tone. Whether you want an energized, joyful space or a calm, peaceful one, the right piece of art will be crucial as you create that.

My art tends to mirror a life philosophy I believe. We are all shaped by our experiences--more accurately, we are all shaped by how we choose to react to those experiences. My art begins with a hopeful sketch that is crafted into a wooden structure. As the canvas is stretched, a quiet and careful conversation takes place, and each piece tells me how much should be revealed, what should remain hidden, and what should be celebrated through paint.

All components, revealed or hidden, are vital in shaping the art and the feeling each piece of art brings to the space it occupies. I hope my art encourages you to pause, wonder, and drink in the feeling it evokes in you.

Hey, guess what?

I'm so excited!! I was interviewed for an awesome blog!
